Culled from his three commercial album releases from 1996 through 2001, as well as previously unreleased tracks including three live songs, Sean's Blues captures the essence of what made Sean Costello such a rising star in the blues world until his tragic death in April, 2008, one day before his 29th birthday. A portion of the royalties from the sale of the album will benefit The Sean Costello Memorial Fund for Bipolar Research www.seancostellofund.org

The 2009 South Florida International Blues Festival scheduled for Nov. 6-8 at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) has been cancelled.

“In these trying economic times, we as a university try to evaluate our priorities and ensure that they are in line with our academic mission," said George Hanbury, Ph.D., executive vice president and COO at NSU. "While the blues festival has been a popular event at NSU, ultimately our academic programs take precedent and we made the decision to discontinue the festival.”

Anyone who already purchased tickets for the festival will automatically receive a full refund to their credit card. For questions regarding refunds, call 954-262-7228.

Bluzpik Rekerdz will be organizing a Blues event on 11/21 & 11/22 at Pulp Live in Ft Lauderdale. Also Various Blues clubs have expressed interest in booking some of the bands from the festival the weekend of Nov 6,7 and 8, who are already routed in our area.
